Mission Statement of KHAEF
The Kremlin-Hillsdale Academic Enrichment Foundation's (KHAEF) mission is to promote enriched educational opportunities which will produce innovative and creative learning activities for all youth in the Kremlin Hillsdale Public Schools.
History of KHAEF
A group of concerned and enthusiastic Kremlin Hillsdale school supporters got together in early 2002 to see how to continue the success of their public school's strong academic history. A Board of Trustees was elected from this group, bylaws were created and KHAEF became a 501(c)3 organization. This means that all donations to KHAEF are tax deductible!
Since KHAEF was created over $170,000 has been collected through donations and fundraisers. An endowment has been established with 50% of these funds and the rest goes straight to the Grants for Teachers program. The endowment is now (Nov 2010) at approximately $85,250 and over $85,000 has gone right into the classrooms in the form of items and programs that would not otherwise be in the classrooms.
In 2002, KHS began its very first pre-kindergarten class, and in the Spring of 2010 KHS had it's 1st ever Elementary STATE ACADEMIC CHAMPIONSHIP! It was this same class! Notice that this is the first class at KHS to have the benefits of KHAEF funds to enhance their classrooms through their entire education at KHS... This young academic team even attended the statewide "Tournament of Champions" and beat EVERY other Academic State Champion their age from across the state of Oklahoma! What an incredible testimonial of how these "enriched learning activities" help our children excel academically!
